ICU Ward of Farabi Hospital
We, the staff of the ICU Ward at Farabi Hospital, would like to extend a warm welcome to you. We are committed to providing you with the best possible healthcare services in the areas of diagnosis, treatment, and care, in the shortest possible time and with the highest level of satisfaction. This ward consists of 5 rooms and 9 patient beds. Bathrooms and showers are available in rooms 1 and 5. Patients in rooms without bathrooms should use the bathroom located at the end of the hall on the left, which is equipped with a toilet and shower. The ward's examination room is located on the left, opposite the doctors' room, and the water cooler is located in the middle of the hall on the left. The prayer room is located outside the ward on the left at the end of the hall and next to the Seashell Ward.
Important Safety and Hygiene Tips for ICU Patients:
* After admission to the ward, please check your identification bracelet and make sure your information is correct. Upon admission, our nursing staff will explain hygiene precautions, hand washing, the Patient's Bill of Rights, points related to the identification bracelet, patient identification, and visiting hours.
* The emergency exit route is marked with green signs.
* If you need a wheelchair or a bedside step to get in and out of bed, our staff will guide you in obtaining it.
* A nurse call button is installed above the bed. If you need assistance, press the button and our nursing staff will come to the patient's bedside to help you.
* For patient safety, make sure to raise the bed guard when resting in bed.
* If you need assistance in the bathroom, pull the emergency call handle.
* Dear patients, it is mandatory to bring your personal belongings such as a cup, spoon and fork, paper towels, thermos for tea, etc.
* Please bring the patient's medications and previous records, including chest X-rays, recent ECGs, angiography results, etc.
* Patients under the age of 18 and patients with mental and intellectual disabilities must have the consent of a guardian or legal representative for surgery.
* According to the guidelines of the university's treatment department, we are not allowed to admit children under the age of 12 for visits.
* Household waste should be disposed of in the blue bin and hospital waste (contaminated with patient secretions, clothing, and bracelets) in the yellow bin.
* Please refrain from smoking due to the inconvenience and air pollution it causes, as well as the risk of fire.
* Please ask your patient's doctor or nurse only for questions and guidance regarding your patient.
* Upon admission to the ward, please leave your extra belongings and jewelry with you or the ward manager.
* Before going to the operating room, make sure your nails are clean and free of polish or artificial nails, and that you are not wearing eye makeup. Remove dentures and place them in a special container or plastic wrap and hand them over with you.
* Please use the bathroom before putting on the operating room gown.
* When putting on the operating room gown, make sure the tie is in the front and change the operating room slippers in the operating room. Then put on the cap and then the scarf.
* Dear patients and companions, please read the posters in your room carefully.
Special Rules for the ICU Ward:
* According to the rules, the presence of companions in the ICU is prohibited, but in special circumstances, the decision of whether or not a patient needs a companion is up to the nurse in charge of the shift.
* Visiting hours are from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM daily. With permission from the ward staff, visitors may attend one at a time. Please refrain from gathering around the patient's bed.
* To inquire about your patient's condition and to maintain the peace of the patients, please call the ward only between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM. Please refrain from making frequent and unnecessary calls.
* Please refrain from using mobile phones due to the interference they cause with the specialized equipment in the ICU and the possibility of problems for your patient.
* Please refrain from tampering with the monitors and devices connected to the patient to maintain their health and prevent any errors from occurring.
