Retina Clinic of Farabi Hospital
We are honored that you have chosen Farabi Hospital for your treatment. The Retina Clinic of Farabi Hospital is located in Hall 6 on the ground floor of the hospital and consists of Retina Clinics 1 and 2, Retina Consultation Clinic, and ROP Clinic. The Retina Consultation Clinic is located on the ground floor of the hospital in Hall 1, next to the Glaucoma Clinic. Patients of the Retina Clinic of Farabi Hospital are referred exclusively from the hospital's general clinics or by the hospital's vitreous and retina specialists. Vitreous and retina includes a wide range of retinal vascular diseases, congenital retinal diseases, trauma and injury, degenerative diseases such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, retinoblastoma, ROP, and retinal detachment. Patients with retinal problems are treated or followed after examination by experienced specialists and A and B scans, eye angiography, OCT and ICG or other complementary tests depending on the type of disease.
The equipment in this section includes AB-Scan and UBM ultrasound machines, which are used to diagnose eye tumors.

Guide to Admission and Appointment Scheduling:

* By referral with a letter:
* (Referral letter for one of the retina specialist) They will be seen on the same day in the name of the referred doctor.
* They will be referred to the Retina Clinic through the hospital information admissions and admitted.
* After receiving an appointment through one of the mentioned ways, bring your ID card to the Central Admissions Office located in the hospital courtyard.
* After checking in with Central Admissions and receiving your blue treatment card (card 50) and payment slip from room 56 (cashier), proceed to the Retina Clinic.
* Upon arrival at the clinic for admission, first take a number from the paging machine next to the clinic door according to the doctor's schedule.
* After your number is called by the paging system, you will be admitted by the Retina Clinic receptionist located in room 62, which has 3 counters.
* To maintain order in the clinic and facilitate the admission process, please do not crowd in front of the admission counter and the clinic entrance door after receiving your number from the paging machine.
* We apologize for not being able to accept walk-in patients.
* If for any reason you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please call the clinic directly to reschedule your next appointment.
* After your examination at the Retina Clinic, go to the Retina Clinic reception to schedule your next appointment. Your next appointment will be recorded in the clinic's system and on your examination card.
* To facilitate the admission process, you must have a debit card.
* If you do not have a debit card, go to room (56) cashier to pay the fees.
Examination procedures require multiple steps, so we appreciate your patience and cooperation.
Retina Clinic Examinations Include:
* Optometry or vision testing
* Dilated eye exam
* Examination by a resident ophthalmologist
* Examination by an attending physician or fellowship in ophthalmology
Workflow:
Adult Examination
* Upon entering the clinic, patients are sent to the optometry section by the receptionist.
* If you wear glasses, please bring them with you for vision testing and examination.
* After vision testing, drops are instilled in both eyes of the patient by the clinic nurse. Some time after the drops are instilled, the patient is re-examined, and a decision is made by the attending physician.
* Please note that the drops instilled in the eye may cause blurred vision for 5-6 hours, so it is advisable to avoid driving during this time.
Tips for Child Examination
* Please note that examining your beloved children requires you to follow some tips to make the examination easier.
* The examination takes more time, so it is necessary to cooperate with the doctor and nurse calmly.
* The presence of one of the parents, especially the mother, is required for the examination and to answer the doctor's questions.
* It is usually necessary to instill drops in the child according to the doctor's instructions. The drops are instilled in two stages, 5-10 minutes apart, by the nurse. After 30 minutes, the child
