We, the staff of the Farabi Eye Hospital Sadaf Ward, would like to extend a warm welcome to you. We are committed to providing you with the best possible healthcare services in the areas of diagnosis, treatment, and care, in the shortest possible time and with the highest level of satisfaction.
Physical Space and Equipment of the Ward:
* All rooms are double occupancy. Each room is equipped with a bathroom and shower. Only room 5 is equipped with a Western toilet.
* The emergency exit route is marked with green signs.
Ward Operating Hours:
* This ward is open 24 hours a day and provides services around the clock. The ward charge nurse is available from 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM, and the shift supervisors are available from 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
* Visiting hours are from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM daily.
Important Points:
* As this is a male inpatient ward, inpatients must have an alert, adult male companion.
* Upon admission of your patient, our nursing staff will explain hygiene precautions, hand washing, the Patient's Bill of Rights, points related to the identification bracelet (which identifies the patient), and visiting hours. Please listen carefully and ask if you have any questions.
* If you do not have a companion upon admission to the ward, please hand over any valuables to the receptionist for safekeeping in the safe deposit box.
* Patients under the age of 18 and patients with mental and intellectual disabilities require the presence and consent of a guardian or legal representative for surgery.
* If you need a wheelchair or a bedside step to get in and out of bed, our staff will guide you in obtaining it.
* A nurse call button is installed above the patient's bed. If you need assistance, press the button and our nursing staff will come to the patient's bedside to help.
* For patient safety, make sure the safety rail is up when resting in bed. If you need assistance in the bathroom, pull the emergency call handle installed in the bathroom.
* Please bring your own personal items such as a cup, toothbrush, slippers, and a thermos for tea.
* Household waste should be disposed of in the blue bin and hospital waste (contaminated with patient secretions, clothing, etc.) in the yellow bin. Please ask our staff for the location of the yellow bins.
* Smoking is strictly prohibited due to the inconvenience and air pollution it causes, as well as the risk of fire.
* Please return all ward clothing upon discharge.
* Educational videos related to your illness will be shown on the television in all rooms at specified times. Please pay attention to them.
Going to the Operating Room:
* Wear the operating room gown with the front of the gown closed.
* Remove your dentures.
* Avoid wearing socks when going to the operating room.
