Farabi Hospital Radiology Department

Medical imaging is one of the rapidly advancing sciences that encounters new achievements in diagnosis and treatment every day. The first imaging techniques and modalities were developed with the discovery of X-rays by William Roentgen in 1895, laying the foundation for diagnostic radiology in 1896. In subsequent years, other advancements were made in the field of sectional imaging of the body using X-rays (CT scan), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and ultrasound, among other imaging modalities.
Equipped with CT scanners, multi-slice spiral CT, and radiography equipment, the Radiology Department at Farabi Hospital is ready to provide diagnostic and specialized services to all esteemed patients from across the country in the shortest possible time. This unit offers all services related to organ scanning (as prescribed by the physician), both with and without injection, except for eye angiography. CT scans of the eye are typically used to detect bleeding or infection in the eye, fractures in the orbital bone, infection in the eye socket, and tumors.
Different imaging procedures can be performed in several separate sections of the hospital. The CT scan and radiology department is located in room 101 on the basement floor of the new building. Services are provided to outpatients, inpatients, and emergencies, and if imaging with injection is required, patients are prepared accordingly and appointments are given as soon as possible. This center has contracts with all health insurance providers for the armed forces, government employees, social security, municipality, other sectors, rural areas, and universal health.

Respect for patient rights, patient-centered care, preservation of ethical, Islamic, and professional dignity, and adherence to occupational health are the principles and standards of the staff of this department. All safety issues related to radiation, equipment control, and periodic dosimetry are addressed in this department and reported to the authorities. Our colleagues in this unit are ready to welcome patients from 7:30 AM to 10:00 PM every day. Patients can also receive their CT scan report 24 to 48 hours after the scan is performed. Additionally, CT scan images will be sent to the patient as a link via text message.
