Ophthalmology General Clinics at Farabi Hospital
We are honored that you have chosen Farabi Hospital for your treatment. The Ophthalmology General Clinics at Farabi Hospital are located on the ground floor and consist of Clinics 1 through 4.

Patients can be admitted to these clinics in three ways:
 * By calling: 00982155423070
 * Online appointment scheduling through the Farabi Hospital website: tums.drmyco.net/
 * In-person appointment scheduling for referred patients with letters from doctors at other healthcare facilities
Please note that due to the multi-stage nature of examinations in general clinics, your patience is appreciated. (Please do not make any other plans for the day of your examination).
A brief explanation of the working hours and physical space of the general clinics
The general clinics are ophthalmology clinics where the process of eye examination should be started from these clinics. The working days of these clinics are from Saturday to Wednesday, except for holidays, and their working hours are from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM in the morning and from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM in the afternoon.
For the first visit, the applicant must receive an appointment by calling 55421080.
After receiving a telephone appointment, the applicant must go to the appointment building and then to the central admissions office in the hospital courtyard. Therefore, please refrain from going directly to the general clinics.

Explanation of the physical structure of the general clinics:
 * The nursing station for continuing the admission of patients is located in front of the entrance to the clinic. (It is mandatory to have a national ID card, admission card and white examination card with blue lines (fifty). It should be noted that follow-up (operated) patients who visit on Saturdays and Thursdays must have a summary of their medical records.
 * At the end of the clinic there is an optometry unit for examining patients by optometrists or optometrists. Patients are directed to this section after entering the clinic to measure their vision and determine their glasses prescription.
 * In each clinic there are three places for examination by doctors where patients are initially examined.
 * At the end of the clinic there is the room of the resident physicians of the clinic for consultation and determination of the fate of the examined patients.
 * There is a water cooler near the exit door of the clinics in the hospital courtyard. Toilets are located in the courtyard and basement of the hospital.

Workflow in ophthalmology general clinics:
 * After entering the clinic, the examination documents should be handed over to the receptionist or nurse.
 * Patients are referred to the optometry section for visual acuity testing.
 * After visual acuity testing, the patient is introduced to the doctor by the nurse.
 * If the doctor deems it necessary, the patient is referred to the clinic nurse to continue the examination for the purpose of instillation of drops.
 * At this stage, two drops of mydriatic drops are instilled in the affected eye at intervals of 10 minutes. It should be noted that these drops may sometimes cause blurred vision for about 8 hours to one day. Therefore, it is necessary to avoid driving and if possible, bring an accompanying person.
 * After instillation of the drops, the patient is re-examined by the doctor, at which stage the patient is either discharged by the doctor in charge of the patient or referred to the professor for further action.
 * If there are paraclinical measures, the patient is referred to the nursing station for guidance.

Points about child examination:
The examination of children takes more time, so it is necessary to cooperate with the doctor and nurse calmly and in order to carry out this process in the best possible way.
The presence of one of the parents, especially the mother, is mandatory to hold the child's head for examination and answer the doctor's questions.
Sometimes, it may be necessary to instill drops in the child according to the doctor's instructions. This is done in two stages, at intervals of 10 minutes. The examination time is usually a bit long and takes several hours, sometimes even until the evening shift, which requires your patience.

Inpatient and outpatient referrals:
After examinations in general clinics, if necessary for more specialized treatments, the client is referred by the relevant doctor to specialized clinics. This may take some time and appointments for clinics are only for that clinic.

Important points to know when examining:
Before starting the examination, bring with you all your eye surgery records, medical records and previous medications so that your examination can be carried out more quickly.
• If you are referred to specialized clinics such as cornea, retina, tear ducts, etc., this means that your work
