Negah Ward of Farabi Hospital
We, the staff of the Negah Ward at Farabi Hospital, would like to extend a warm welcome to you. We are committed to providing you with the best possible healthcare services in the areas of diagnosis, treatment, and care, in the shortest possible time and with the highest level of satisfaction. This ward is one of the outpatient wards of the hospital and consists of 6 rooms and 23 active beds. The changing room is located in the rooms at the end of the two halls, and the waiting area is located in the hall at the entrance to the ward opposite operating room 3. The men's bathroom (toilet and shower) is located at the end of the main corridor on the right, and the women's bathroom is located at the beginning of the main corridor on the left. The Gaze Ward is open from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM and the ward charge nurse is available from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and the shift supervisors are available from 2:00 PM to 7:30 PM. Female nurses in this ward wear a full navy blue uniform, male nurses wear a white uniform, orderlies wear a full white uniform, nurse's aides wear a full cream uniform, the ward clerk wears sky blue or pencil gray, and the service staff wear gray and dark blue uniforms. Patients who need glaucoma, cataract, lacrimal duct obstruction milking in children, Crawford placement, repair of all types of eyelid and eyebrow tears, removal of foreign bodies, all types of outpatient diagnoses in the emergency group, emergency retinal surgeries, and all types of intravitreal injections for all age groups are admitted to this ward and pre-operative preparations are given. After the operation is completed and before discharge, all post-operative care instructions will also be taught to these patients.
Important Safety and Hygiene Tips for Patients:
* Upon admission of your patient, our nursing staff will explain hygiene precautions, hand washing, the Patient's Bill of Rights, points related to the identification bracelet (which identifies the patient), and visiting hours.
* The emergency exit route is marked with green signs and is located at the end of the main corridor.
* If you need a wheelchair or a bedside step to get in and out of bed, our staff will guide you in obtaining it.
* A nurse call button is installed above the bed. If you need assistance, press the button and our nursing staff will come to the patient's bedside to help you.
* For patient safety, make sure the safety rail is up when resting in bed. If you need assistance in the bathroom, pull down the emergency call handle.
* It is mandatory to bring personal and hygiene items such as (clean face mask, hand sanitizer, cup, paper towels, etc.).
* Have a healthy, sane, adult, and preferably same-sex companion upon entering the ward.
* Refrain from bringing watches, gold, valuables to the hospital and do not have dentures before entering the operating room.
* Patients under the age of 18 and patients with mental and intellectual disabilities must have the consent of a guardian or legal representative for surgery.
* Household waste should be disposed of in the blue bin and hospital waste (contaminated with patient secretions, clothing, and bracelets) in the yellow bin.
* Please refrain from smoking due to the inconvenience and air pollution it causes, as well as the risk of fire.
* When putting on the operating room gown, make sure the tie is in the front and change the operating room slippers in the operating room.
