Farabi Hospital Mehr Ward
We, the personnel of Farabi Eye Hospital Mehr Ward, would like to welcome you and assure you that we will strive to provide you with the best possible healthcare services, including diagnosis, treatment, and care, in the shortest possible time and with the highest level of satisfaction.
Physical Space and Equipment of the Ward:
* The ward's bathroom (toilet, bidet, and shower) is located at the end of the ward. The water cooler is located opposite the nurses' station.
* The emergency exit route is marked with green signs.
Ward Operating Hours:
* The ward is open 24 hours a day and provides services around the clock. The ward supervisor is available from 7:30 AM to 2 PM, and the shift supervisors are available from 2 PM to 7 PM and from 7 PM to 7 AM.
* Visiting hours are from 3 PM to 4 PM daily.
Important Points:
* As this is a women's ward, hospitalized patients must have an alert, adult, and female companion.
* Upon admission of your patient, the nursing staff will explain the hygiene guidelines, hand washing, the patient's bill of rights, the identification bracelet that identifies the patient, and visiting hours. Please listen carefully and ask if you have any questions.
* If you do not have a companion upon admission to the ward, please hand over any valuables to the receptionist for safekeeping in the safety deposit box.
* Patients under 18 years of age and patients with mental and intellectual disabilities require the presence and consent of a guardian or legal representative for surgery.
* If you need a wheelchair or step stool to get up and down from the bed, the staff will guide you on how to obtain one.
* A nurse call button is installed above the patient's bed. If you need assistance, press the button and the nursing staff will come to the patient's bedside.
* For the safety of patients during rest on the bed, make sure the safety rail is up. If you need assistance in the bathroom, pull the emergency call button in the bathroom.
* Please bring your own personal items such as a cup, toothbrush, slippers, and thermos.
* Household waste should be disposed of in the blue bin and hospital waste (contaminated with patient secretions, clothing, etc.) in the yellow bin. Please ask the staff where the yellow bins are located.
* Smoking is strictly prohibited due to the inconvenience and air pollution it causes, as well as the fire hazard. Please return all ward clothing upon discharge.
* Educational films related to your illness will be shown on the television in all rooms at specific times. Please pay attention to them.
Going to the Operating Room:
* Wear the operating room gown with the straps in front.
* Remove your dentures.
* Avoid wearing socks.
* Refrain from wearing nail polish, artificial nails, and false eyelashes.
